"Dotgunk" is designed to breifly visit the listener's world with with a series of digital poetics filled with rich
detail and deep, emotional illuminations through and about the relationship of the self to technology. His three
song collection installs a temporal zone of glimmering wide open clean sound planes, cute and noisy bleeps, and
introspective cyborgic melodies. With this release, BricoLodge presents the debut of Alberta's Brandon Blommaert.

These sounds, lovingly crafted in our laboratories, have withstood the time honored test of endurance, strength and
fortitude. These sounds have been lovingly hand carved out of aged and smoked hickory grown right here in Alberta.
Once carved, the sounds are frozen and stored for safe keeping until further notice. When a use is found for said
data a lengthy thawing process is utilized to bring them back to their original shape. Full of vim and vigor, the
sounds are then merged, processed and arranged into a linear motif which shakes and rattles with a rolling vengeance.

Brandon Blommaert is an audio and visual artist from Alberta. Over the past 4 years, he has produced and released
experimental electronic music on CDR and cassette tape, has been featured on various regional compilation tapes,
and has made visual and textual contributions to independent zines and bookworks, notably the handmade assemblages
by Chandra Pederson, an ex-Albertan who is now residing in Saskatoon.

Blommaert’s sound work consists entirely of digitally manipulated sine waves, without the aid of samples from outside
sources. This practice has resulted in the unfolding of a very unique and personal sound-world. Some of
his sound creations were exhibited in Vancouver’s 2002 Signal and Noise festival. Only recently has Brandon accepted
the challenge to reveal and perform his electronic music in public spaces.

Being a crafty type, Blommaert has received many scout badges, including the arts and crafts badge, cooking badge,
and the junior carpentry badge. His current studies have taken him to the Alberta College of Art and Design, in
which he is focussing on the Printmaking Studio Art program. In the near future, Blommaert hopes to update his
digital production suite and continue to explore the unknown or 'unheard' potential in electronic sound.

BricoLodge is a net.label for eclectic techno, playful composition and
complex experimentation that emerged from artistic and cultural exchanges
between the site directors, Carrie Gates and Jon Vaughn and other artists
from across Canada and the world since the turn of the 21st Century.
