<reviewbody>Ok,these garage bands sometimes are hit and miss, but this self-produced project has some things going for it: a great voice, simple effects and offbeat rhythms.

Her sometimes dorky-sounding voice has a lot of expressive range, especially in the powerful (though somewhat overdone) song #3 The Man Who Knows (a song, which I just had to listen over again--Wow!). Kidding is a little less anarchic, simpler and uses her voice well.

Her voice sounds a lot like Serena Matthews (one of my alltime fave Internet musical babes), only a little less plaintive, a bit more range.

I felt the other freeform songs were too rambling, and for the most part I didn't find the two vocal vocal tracks on some places added anything. Intro was pleasing(I liked the reverb at the end).

Btw, download picture Number 3 for a laugh!).

<reviewbody>the ambiance is so present in those songs we can almost imagine the room, i like the songs cause they are twisted, strange and very pop in the same time, swingy is a really good song i found the tic tic tic intro really charming.
the voice is tender and rought the mix of all those things is all i like to hear in music.

<reviewbody>I like music that is "unpolished". Sometimes it has more of an emotional 'grab' that a heavily produced, 'perfect' sound. This is definitely the case with Cobson's songs here. The minimal style-- voice, piano or guitar & very little else-- creates an intimate mood, as if she's playing on the floor of her living room with only a few listeners. Her voice sounds on the verge of a sob, a growl, or a shriek-- but sexy! Which adds a depth of realism to the songs. I find myself wondering, as I listen again & again, if the stories in these songs are true, if the names (Bobby?) belong to real people...</reviewbody>
